We had a wonderful week at Vacation Bible School from June 10 through June 14.  We had over 80 children attend each day along with a staff of 54.  Children enjoyed learning a Bible story, along with recreation, snack, craft time, and a mission project.  Our mission project  consisted of collecting peanut butter for Good Shepherd and Salvation Army, along with collecting money for babies in Africa.

Guest Preacher:

Semyon Lee has been a missionary pastor for over 25 years. Through him the Lord has opened churches in Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. He has a valuable experience of serving in countries in which Christianity is fiercely persecuted. During the years of his ministry, his family has experienced a terrorist attack on their church, in which they ministered. They were also missionaries in Afghanistan, where they encountered many dangers and served many people through a small church in a remote area.  Today, he is the regional director of the Youth for Christ International in Central Asia, where his ministry is spread out over 8 countries (Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Northwest China, Afghanistan). Since last year, he has been organizing and leading the movement “Caring for the Father’s Heart” ministers, which is aimed at helping and supporting pastors, missionaries and leaders who need help and practical support in both ministry and personal life. He has a master's degree in theology. He has been married for more than 17 years, has 4 children.
